Daniel fell in love with ballet as a teenager and trained at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in Canada, and also with Marjorie Mussman and Bobby Blankshine in N.Y.C.. After graduating from the R.W.B. school he went on to dance in both the National Ballet of Canada and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet over a 9 year period, moving from Corps de Ballet to Soloist and Principal. Having been raised on the island of Borneo, the islands were calling again, and Oahu became home, teaching in the dance department at Punahou School, and as director of the ballet program at The Movement Center in Kaimuki. After coming to Kauai for a “sabbatical”, this island wove her magic and has now been home for 4 wonderful years! Daniel teaches an Int./Adv. technique class, Men’s technique, Ballet Partnering, and also offers private classes. For more info contact him at borneoboy@hotmail.com
